A few nights ago, I had the opportunity to spread a little Christmas cheer with a family that is a part of 'The Select Program' at Square One for Youth. Working in partnership with Nadia Claxton and the folks at Old Navy in the Forum, we were able to deliver a multitude of gifts to a single mother and her two children.
This was a wonderful experience and I was so proud to be a part of spreading the Christmas spirit. Mom got a brand new vacuum cleaner for the house and the kids were surprised with gifts ranging from Amazon Fire tablets to clothing and jewelry. The people at thge Old Navy at the Forum donated both their time and the gifts for this family. We are forever grateful for the effort and work that these people do during the holidays to give back.
There are so many families in Gwinnett County that could use a helping hand around the holidays, and if you have the opportunity and means to do so, I highly suggest that you reach out to other families or organizations that help to spread a little holiday cheer. From all of us at Square One for Youth, have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
